Today, she brings her background in physical therapy and certification as a Polestar Pilates Instructor to her practice at Pilates of Lyons. A mountain biker, snowboarder, former ballet dancer, and all-around athlete, Jimi Alida has had a lifelong passion for movement. Upon discovering Pilates, she found within the method a way to not only to exercise, but also a tool to keep her body performing at its finest. Already a certified trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine, she was eager to expand her knowledge of human anatomy and kinesiology for both herself and her clients. She completed her own comprehensive study with Polestar Pilates and became a certified instructor in 2009. Since then, she enjoys working with a very diverse range of clientele, from injury rehab to athletic training. “Pilates,” she says, “has a place for everyone.”
Sue has always had a passion for dance, movement and exercise. A former professional ballet dancer, Sue was introduced to Pilates during a Summer Intensive Program at the School of American Ballet. Suffering from tendonitis in the hip, Pilates enabled her to develop the strength and uniform muscle development needed to recoup from painful injuries, and she was hooked. After her dance career, Sue explored many different avenues including an art gallery Director, and owner of a nanny service in Park City, UT. In September 2013, Sue completed the rigorous and comprehensive 950 hour Advanced Teacher Training Program at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO – the number one certification course for the Classical Pilates Method in the world. Throughout her life, Pilates has always been a constant. “I firmly believe the Method can help anyone to move with greater ease and become stronger, a necessity for all of us as we age. Pilates is not only beneficial to the body, but the mind. I have a passion for Pilates and movement, and I love to share this with everyone.
Pam has been a student of Pilates for 15 years. Her enthusiasm and passion for Pilates grew after using the method to recover from knee surgeries. It was after this that she made the decision to begin the Teacher Training Program at the Pilates Center in Boulder. As an instructor she wants to share the many benefits of Pilates with her clients so that they too can experience an increase in body awareness, confidence and strength.
Pam has always been passionate about health and fitness. She enjoys the outdoors, biking skiing, hiking, traveling and dance. She is a graduate of CU Boulder with a major in Recreational Therapy.
